Not sure. Could be the petcock. Might be something else. What did you check? Don't want that to happen. During a course. Especially where there is a lot of stopping. And starting. Maybe it's the carb. Check for varnish. Varnish could cause a problem. Mayb e you should just try it on prime. If there is a problem> or maybe not. Just ride it on prime. Wish I could be more help.
